Weekend in Review: March 1 - March 3

I know this is a day late, but I got ill after a wild, wicked weekend.  I'm still a bit under the weather so this will probably be short.  My apologies for the lack of will.

It was a weekend of boozing, that's for sure.  Upon hearing I didn't have to work on Saturday, I decided it was time to go balls to the wall.  So I hit a few bars on Friday.  Hit a few bottles and cans on Saturday.  Then my head hit a few pillows both nights.  Or shall I say early mornings.  No wonder I got sick.  My body is Dikembe Mutombo-ing too much fun at this point.

Buuuuuuut I will say I did pull a number on Friday night.  It was the highlight of the weekend.  Not because I got the number, but because NBC4 chief meteorologist Doug Kammerer made his way to Caddie's in Bethesda on Friday.  It was awesome.  I was really the only one who cared about seeing a local celebrity, but it was still cool.  I follow him on Twitter for God's sake.  Anyway, I "accused" everyone he was with of being members of the NBC Weather Center, including this one girl of being Veronica Johnson.  She was not Veronica Johnson.  She was much younger and much prettier than Veronica Johnson.

I can see why you would think that is a bit racist.  Basically, I unintentionally implied that all black people look the same.  I do not actually believe that.  I was drunk people!  I ask for your understanding.

Strangely enough, it was this lady's number that I got.  She kept saying she knew me from kickball.  No chance.  I think she was just generating conversation.  I think I read it right.  Overall, it was fairly awkward.  I was on my way out.  She was flirting with Kammerer.   We sent texts saying "nice to meet you."  24 hours apart.  With me trying to remember what her name even was.  I'm not sure what will come of it, but boy what a thrill in the condition I was in.  I imagine it was along the lines of this level of finesse and machismo:

One of these days I'll do all these same types of things without the help of Bud Light and cherry bombs.  Until that day, I will keep using my most favoritest crutch.

Oh yeah, and this little gem was discovered this weekend:

The Ben Show, Thursdays at 10pm on Comedy Central.  Instantly addicted.

Hasta luego, loyal readers.  Time for Vitamin C and Tylenol.
